Sweeney Todd was definitely one of the most challenging productions I’ve ever been apart of. Not only did the music require an incredible amount of discipline and skill, but our technical ambitions only added another layer to this challenge. And, on top of everything, playing Toby required a great deal of vocal agility and physical stamina.
Luckily, She Kills Monsters laid a strong foundation for me in terms of taking care of myself physically and building up the stamina necessary to run around onstage and maintain the energy of my character, even when I was feeling exhausted.
It’s virtually impossible to choose a "favorite" production from my past four years, but I can confidently say that I truly loved playing Toby, and I’m incredibly grateful I had the opportunity to play such a unique, versatile character.
